Are
You Eligible?
In
order to apply, you must meet the following basic requirements:
- Be 15 ½ - 24 years old
- An applicant can apply as early as 15 ½
but would not be able to start until he/she turned 16.
- A student must be enrolled at the Alaska Job Corps Center
before they turn 25.
- Be considered low income
- Have no major or ongoing court issues
- All upcoming court appearances, fines totaling more than
$500, community work service, etc. must be completed before
we can accept an application.
- Be in the state of Alaska
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
- Be ready, willing, and able to participate fully in professional
and educational environments
- Find a job and/or continue their education after leaving Job
Corps
